Veterans Day

Veterans Day is being observed across the country today.  Vice President Joe Biden led solemn Veterans Day ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery.   President Obama is overseas. The National Mall will be jammed this evening for the Concert for Valor.

Missouri Prepares for Michael Brown Grand Jury Decision

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon announced a public safety plan in case violence breaks out after a grand jury releases a decision in the shooting death of Michael Brown.  Governor Nixon says that decision is expected sometime in mid to late-November.

Montgomery County Schools Makes Decision about Religious Holidays

The Montgomery County Board of Education will nix all mentions of religious holidays from the school calendar next year.  The issue stems from Montgomery County schools being closed for all Jewish holidays but not for Muslim ones.  Montgomery County schools have closed for Jewish holidays for decades because of its large Jewish population.
