Water main break in Bowie causes major back ups…

WSSC crews are on the scene of a massive 24 inch water main break on Mitchellville Road in Bowie. It unclear when the repair will be made and the roadway will be reopened.

The Gov’t opens on time….

It’s the first day back to work on time for Federal workers since the Blizzard. Employee’s still have the option to tele-work or take an unscheduled leave.

Several school systems resume classes…

In Va we have 3 schools opening up 2 hours late they are: Alexandria, Culpepper & Falls Church. DC, Charles, St. Mary’s and Calvert County schools are on time. All other major systems are closed today.

Prince George’s starts issuing out tickets for those who have not shoveled their sidewalks…

In Prince George’s County were school remains closed today –county officials say they will start ticketing $100 if they have not shoveled their side walk. The focus will be on locations near schools and heavy pedestrian area’s.

6 DC High School kids arrested for assaulting a passenger on metro…

6 Wilson High School students have been arrested for allegedly assaulting a male passenger on the platform at Gallery Place Thursday morning. 4 of the accused face felony assault charges. The 35 year old man who was kicked and punched is expected to be Ok.
