Bizarre accident claims the life of a N.W. man this morning…

Right now, DC Police are investigating a bizarre accident in N.W.. A man is dead this morning after the car he was working on 4400 Kansas Avenue fell on him. It appears the car jack failed, causing the accident.

President Obama talks race relations live on national TV tonight…

At 8 tonight President Barack Obama will lead a national televised town hall style discussion on race relations between blacks and police. It comes a day after he held a meeting with police officials, educators and civil rights leaders regarding the deaths of black men at the hands of police. Tonight’s prime time discussion will be aired on ABC News and ESPN.

Democrats hold rally to call on Republicans to approve new safety gun laws…

DC Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton & other Democrats plan to rally for gun reform. Tonight’s 7 pm rally is called “Lighting the Way”. In part, leaders want universal background checks on gun sales & the banning of the sale of guns to people on the “No Fly List”.
