Fire displaces two dozen people on Thanksgiving

Prince George’s County fire fighters responded to a three alarm fire at The Lynhill Condominiums. No one was hurt but there are reports that some had to jump from balconies to escape the fire. Officials believe the blaze was started in an apartment of a hoarder. The official cause remains under investigation.

DC Police search for a Thanksgiving day rapist

The search is on in the District for a second suspect wanted in connection to Thanksgiving kidnapping and rape on 49th Street in Northeast. Police have arrested 31 year old Paul Williams was arrested a short time after the incident. Investigators say the other rape suspect who has not been identified, may be armed with a stun gun.

Last day to sign Marion Barry’s Condolence book

Today is the last day for well wisher to sign the condolence book of former DC Mayor Marion Barry at the Wilson Building. The hours today are from 9 am to 5:30 pm. On Thursday, his body will lie in state for 24 hours at the Wilson Building, on Friday a special service and viewing will be held at The Temple of Praise in Southeast and on Saturday his funeral will be held at the Washington Convention Center.
