Students hurt in school bus collision in Montgomery County…

Seventeen students were injured following two school buses that collided on the first day of school in Montgomery County. There injuries are not said to be life threatening. Some 370,000 students begin the fall semester today in Charles, Prince Williams and Loundoun Counties as well.

DC Police issue a “No” Confidence vote for Chief Lanier…

Results from the DC Police Union confidence vote shows — over 97% of the 1,150 members voted they have “No” confidence in DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier’s leadership or ability to fight crime. The vote follows her “All Hands on Deck” initiative. There were 8 shootings during that time, 2 fatally.

The City of Baltimore prepares for possible protest for the start of the Freddie Gray murder hearings…

Baltimore City Leaders are ramping up for possible protest and unrest later this week as the city prepares to start hearings into the death of Freddie Gray. The Mayor says police have been better trained on crowd control and they have also updated their riot gear. The hearings begin on Wednesday.
