Accused terrorist Metro Transit Police Officer returns to court…

It’s back to court today for the Metro Transit Police Officer charged with attempting to support ISIS. 36 year old Nicoholas Young was arrested Wednesday after a 6 month investigation by the FBI. This morning members in Congress want to know why Young was allowed to continue working during the surveillance. Metro says he was not a threat to the transit system.

Federal approved for the Purple line is canceled…

A Federal judge has canceled the once approved Purple line. It happened yesterday. The judge who sited long standing safety issues with the current transit system ordered Maryland state officials to conduct another study on ways of preventing for the new line. Construction for the long awaited Purple Line was scheduled to begin later this year. State Officials plan to appeal the ruling.

DPR workers start cultural training, following transgender bathroom issue…

Starting today DC Parks and Recreation employee’s will being receiving cultural training. It follows last month incident at Banneker Pool & it involved a group of young transgender women. The group asked an employee where the women’s restroom was and the worker directed them to the men’s bathroom. The worker told them it was the law. DC law however allows a person to use the restroom that fits their gender identity.
