District leaders want to hear from residents about how they think the city should honor the legacy of former Mayor Marion Barry. Tonight a commission created to answer that question will hold a 7pm public meeting at the Executive Office of the Mayor in NW.

Autopsy results determine prison death of A.A. man a homicide, prison guard “Beat Up Squad” accused of doing it…

The “New York Times” is reporting that an autopsy on the cause of death of African American man inside of a Fishkill New York Prison was a homicide and not due
to a synthetic drug overdose like the guards claimed. Inmates say the prison guards known as the “beat up squad” did just that to Samuel Harrell while trying to subdue the bipolar inmate. Fellow inmates say as many as 20 guards hit and jumped on him. The autopsy showed he had cuts and bruises to his head and extremities that support their claims. No charges have been brought against the guards
thus far…

The former spokesman for Subway pleads guilty to having sex with minors…

It’s shocking news …. the former pitch man Jared Fogle has agreed not only to pleading guilt to child pornography but to having sex with minors. His plea deal was submitted in court earlier this morning. Fogle could spend up to 12 and a half years in prison.
