It’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month

It’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month and WHUR is teaming up with Reid Temple Restoration Center to host Behind Closed Doors, a special town hall edition of the Daily Drum.  We need you to come out and sound the alarm on the issue and bring some toiletries to help women, men, and children in harm’s way.  Joining me this morning to talk about the event is Fredrica Brooks-Davis – Executive Director of Reid Temple Restoration Center, Inc.

WHUR is teaming up with Reid Temple Restoration Center to host Behind Closed Doors, a town hall discussion to help break the silence of domestic violence.  The event will be held Tuesday, October 24th at 7pm at Reid Temple AME Church @ 11400 Glenn Dale Blvd., Glenn Dale, MD.  Persons attending the event are asked to bring some toiletries to help women, men, and children living in harm’s way.  Please log on to www.whur.com  for a listing of items needed.
