Metro Set to Shutdown @ Midnight for 24 hours

Metro is making an unprecedented move to ensure the safety of Metrorail riders.  The transit agency plans to shutdown all rail service tonight at midnight to conduct a system wide emergency safety check.  Service will not be resumed for 24-hours.  That means thousands of persons who rely on rail service daily will have to find another mode of transportation tomorrow.  Metro is set to hold a press conference on the issue at 4:00pm today.
