Raheem DeVaughn, Michelle Blackwell and Gallant KILLED ‘Sounds Like Washington Live’ Stage

Last night was phenomenal! Raheem DeVaughn, Michelle Blackwell and Gallant all on one stage at our very first “Sounds Like Washington LIVE” event. Hands down – this was the HOTTEST ticket in town.

WHUR personalities Angela Stribling, Mansey Pullen, Wes Hall, Stretch and EZ Street hosted the event and had fun with the listeners in-between sets. Listeners took home a bunch of great prizes like tickets to upcoming shows at the City Winery, the Summer Spirit Festival and meet and greet access to the evening’s performers.

We would like to thank City Winery for graciously allowing us to kick off our first event there and providing a memorable experience for our listeners. We would also like to thank the incredible artists for putting on a phenomenal show, the hardworking staff at City Winery for keeping our guests happy, and WHUR’s amazing on-air talent and staff for doing what they do best. Last but not least, we would like to thank our loyal listeners for continuing to support WHUR 96.3 and everything we do. You’re the reason we’re #1 and we couldn’t do any of this without you. We LOVE you!

If you weren’t able to make it to our first “Sounds Like Washington LIVE” event, no worries. This is the first of many more to come. The “Sounds Like Washington LIVE” music series will bring the artists you know and love to an intimate stage to perform the live music you want to hear. Stay tuned for more information on what’s to come!
