Terrence Howard And Nia Long Cast In A New Film

Nia Long and Terrence Howard are set to star in a new film “Life in a Year.” The film will be produced by Will Smith along with his two business partners under his production banner Overbrook Entertainment. The film will also feature Cara Delevingne and Jaden Smith.

Deadline is reporting that Terrence Howard, Stony Blyden and Nia Long have joined the cast of the YA romantic drama “Life In A Year”. The film, which also stars Jaden Smith and Cara Delevingne, is written by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews and will be directed by Mitja Okorn. “Life In A Year” “follows a 17-year-old boy who, after learning his girlfriend is dying, sets out to give her their entire life together, in the year she has left.” “Howard will play the proud, no-nonsense father of Daryn (played by Smith). Blyden plays Kiren, Daryn’s talkative, girl-obsessed and loyal best friend.” Long will play Daryn’s mother Catherine. The YA romantic drama is about “ a 17-year-old, who finds out that his girlfriend is dying; so he sets out to give her an entire life, in the last year she has left,” imdb.com said. It is set to release in 2018.

Currently, Long plays Howard’s love interest on this recent season of Empire. Howard is well known for his roles in “Hustle and Flow” and “Four Brothers.” Recently, he scored a leading role in the limited series Wayward Pines on Fox. He also will star in upcoming film “Thirty Eight” with Mike Epps and Paula Patton.

Long was featured in Lifetime’s remake of “Beaches” with Indina Menzel. In addition, she has a role in indie films “Roxanne, Roxanne” along with Oscar winner Mahershala Ali and “Lemon.” She is set to appear in The Goldberg’s spinoff pilot on ABC.
