Hundreds Walk In This Year’s Test My Breasts 5K Walk and Wellness Fair

What a way to start the day as co-host of the Natalie Williams Breast Care Foundation‘s 2017 Test My Breasts 5K Walk and Wellness Fair!

We all arrived at the Tidal Basin bright and early Saturday morning. The temperature was expected to hit the 90s so
we were treated to breakfast bars, fruits, and mineral water to stay hydrated. It was a beautiful morning, as we gathered at the steps of the majestic Jefferson Memorial.

To get us all limber and ready for the 5K walk, Shana from Crunch Fitness led us on a 45 minute Zumba Dance. At 11a.m. we laced up our shoes and all women, men, children, young and old, gathered at the designated starting point, to represent family, friends, neighbors, anyone affected by breast cancer. I wanted to be there for all the friends and co-workers who have encountered this dreadful disease.

Thank you Natalie Williams for inviting me to join your effort to raise awareness to eradicate breast cancer in men and women! You’re doing some awesome work with the Natalie Williams Breast Care Foundation.

And THANK YOU to all of our WHUR listeners for making a real difference.
