The Voice of God – Have you ever heard God’s voice?

A few years ago I was going through a very difficult experience trying to open my Restaurant. I was frustrated because I believed that Dream was God given. Two years later, and many trying days, that dream hadn’t been fulfilled.

I was upset with God. I talked to Him every day and, I expressed my frustration!

Why would God tell me to do something, and not fulfill His promise?

In December of that year, after I had resolved all of my options, I gave up on that dream of opening my Restaurant.

Yep, I Gave Up!

I was at Disney, December 23rd 2010, with my son Blake and his friend; when I received a call from my banker that a person very close to me, and very pivotal to my Dream’s success, had deceived me and stolen money. I was shocked and hurt. I was also feeling broken and defeated. How can someone I trusted so much deceive me?

I hung up the phone and immediately, in the middle of Disney World, with thousands of children playing and screaming with joy, the world went silent. Just then I heard a voice say, “This is why you haven’t completed your dream. Separate yourself from people that aren’t for you.” And just like that, the sound of Disney returned. I knew it was God’s voice. I wasn’t afraid. I simply said “Thank You, Amen.”

Six months later that Dream to open Frank Ski’s Restaurant came to pass! I thank God all the time for showing me that person’s true nature.

The bible says in Habakkuk 2:3
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.”

If you’ve been questioning God, ask him to speak to you. Like the bible says “at the end it shall speak, and not lie”.
