This Morning on Taking it to the Streets


Here are a few events and activities taking place this weekend in the DMV

The 2015 Washington Auto Show will be in town starting tomorrow January 23rd and running through Feb 1st at the Washington Convention Center. There will be more than 700 new makes and models and over 42 manufactures at this years auto show. You’ll be able to check out the latest concept cars, and enjoy the ride and drive events from Toyota, Mazda, Kia. Scion and Hyundai. Also a number of celebrates will be on hand to sign autographs. The Washington DC Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center is bringing together resources for veterans under one roof, at their “Winterhaven Stand Down for Homeless or At Risk Veterans.” They’ll offer support for housing, jobs, counseling services, and more. This event takes place on Saturday, January 24th from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, at the Washington, DC, VA Medical Center, located at 50 Irving Street NW, Washington DC, 20422.

Now, Starting Saturday “Feld Motor Sports” will be bringing the “Monster Jam Monster Truck Show” to the Verizon Center. Featured trucks include Grave Digger and Iron Man. Now, the Monster Jam series will have three shows this weekend, Saturday at 2pm and at 7:30pm on and at 2pm on Sunday. Also, if you want to treat the kids to something special then get them the Pit Party passes so they can go down to the pits and get up and close to the Monster Trucks.
