Taylor Thomas Is Previewing the 56th Birthday Celebration for the 44th President

Shaw Main Streets and T Street Development are hosting an evening celebration of former President Barack Obama Friday, August 4th from 7pm – 10:00pm at the Cornerstone, located at the intersection of T Street and Florida Avenue, NW. The evening will include music, guest speakers, selfies with life sized cardboard figures of Mr. and Mrs. Obama, and a film screening of “Believe: the Story of Barack Obama,” which chronicles Obama’s life story from childhood to the White House. Taylor Thomas got a chance to preview some of the festivities in today’s #WHURLive.

As part of the birthday celebration, guests will receive free Rita’s Ice and chips.  The screening of the movie will begin at dusk.  Seating will be provided.  But guests may also bring their own folding or lawn chairs.
