Michel Wright

MICHEL WRIGHT brings class, creativity and a friendly voice to the radio airwaves and has been a top rated personality in her home city DC and on satellite radio. Recognizable, smooth and distinctly cheerful, hers has been called ‘the voice that makes you smile.’

Her voice (singing or speaking) has been heard on national television and radio campaigns and networks including,TV One, SHOWTIME Television, BET Networks, Premiere Radio Networks, Starz, District Cable Networks, and HBO.
Michel has created content, hosted/produced for AOL, MHZ-TV, XM Radio, BET.com, and CBS Radio . She also created and constructed the successful Literary Cafe for a CBS Radio event which brought together best-selling and local authors and attracted over 20,000 attendees.

Michel Wright has been recognized by the DC City Council with an award for her years of service and commitment to the community. She is a Billboard Pro Award finalist;  the recipient of the Women of Prince George’s Community Outreach Award; the Capitol Cadillac 2016 Standard of Living Award in recognition of Leadership and Dedication to Community; the recipient of the 2015 Cafe Mocha Radio Media Innovator Award for Creating a Legacy of Excellence and inspiring women to make a difference. Currently she serves on the board of the Peggy Beatrice Foundation.

Michel was recently named co-host of “The 202,” a new lifestyle show that is part of the District’s Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment. She hosts her own show called “The Suite Spot” on SiriusXM’s Heart & Soul Channel. She can also be heard doing voice overs and promos on the Classical Music Channel, Symphony Hall and various others. You’ll also hear her voice as ‘The Voice’ of the syndicated, “Cafe Mocha Radio” Show.

Active and health conscious, you’ll often find Michel Wright at a local farmer’s market buying fruits and vegetables or at one of the area gyms kickboxing, weight training, doing yoga or even doing a mild jog across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. She also is very serious about supporting local and small businesses. Once a month she visits a business and supports by making a purchase.
Michel is a popular host and participant in various charity events like the Central Union Mission’s Annual Chef Rock Harper gala, HeART&Soul which combines philanthropy, food and art.
