Irv Gotti the Co-Founder of Murder Inc., reportedly suffered a second stroke at 54.
According to VIBE sources say the stroke resulted in a “brain bleed, and Gotti is currently unresponsive.”
Gotti, known for his part in the foundation of 2000s hip-hop with artists like Ja Rule and Ashanti, has faced health struggles, including a previous minor stroke due to diabetes.
Then, a rep for Irv told TMZ “Irv has been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to have a minor stroke over six months ago. He has since changed his diet to eating more healthy. He’s been successful in making a full recovery. Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life.”
Earlier this year, he spoke publicly about the toll diabetes had taken on his body and the importance of changes in his lifestyle and diet. “Diabetes is deteriorating my body,” he revealed in a candid interview.
No official statements from the family of Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr. on his current status, but sources have reported he was “declared dead”.
