Omari Hardwick Talks Season 5 of ‘Power’

Omari Hardwick, aka James “Ghost” St. Patrick stopped by the Steve Harvey Morning Show to talk about season five of Power, which comes back to Starz Sunday, July 1 at 9 PM.

While he doesn’t give too many details, the actor reveals that viewers can expect to see a much grimier yet doting Ghost after losing his daughter, Raina (Donshea Hopkins) and having troubles with his son, Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) on season four. It’s going to be interesting to see how the group, now with the help of Kanan (50 Cent), deals with newcomer Dre (Rotimi) after discovering he’s secretly betraying the group.

Outside of his acting skills, Hardwick also gives some insight to his personal life and how he’s giving back to the community as a spokesperson for the Gentlemen Jack: Reel to Reel project that focuses on black artists and filmmakers by putting their work on the big screen.

“As an activist by nature, even if I’m hella flawed, I’m very much an activist and care about us moving forward- even if I have to play a “dirty” character.” Hardwick said.
