Police Release Information About Of Shooting Suspects

(Washington, DC) — Authorities are releasing images of the suspects connected to a shooting that left a ten-year-old girl dead yesterday in Northeast D.C. The shooting happened around 8:00 p.m. in the 300 block of 53rd Street, when four men in masks got out of a car and started firing at 15 to 20 people in the neighborhood. Four adults were injured. Surveillance images show the suspect’s vehicle as a black Infiniti four door sedan with a missing bumper. D.C. police are offering up to 25-thousand dollars for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Metro To Hold Meeting With Union

(Washington, DC) — Leaders from both Metro and the transit agency’s largest workers union will sit down in a meeting today. The meeting follows a Sunday vote in which members of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 689 authorized a potential strike, something DC Mayor Muriel Bowser says would be wrong.

Man Who Threatened Rep. Maxine Waters Sentenced To Probation

(Los Angeles, CA) — A Los Angeles-area man who phoned a death threat to Congress

woman Maxine Waters will be on probation for three years. A federal court judge also sentenced 45-year-old Anthony Scott Lloyd yesterday to six months of home detention and 100 hours of community service. Lloyd pleaded guilty in April to threatening a U.S. official. He called the Los Angeles Democrat’s DC office last October and said she would wind up dead if she continued speaking negatively about President Trump. Lloyd later told FBI agents he had no real intentions of harming Waters.

MLB All-Star Game Tonight In D.C.

(Washington, DC) — Top players from the National and American League square off tonight in the MLB All-Star Game in Washington, DC. Nationals ace Max Scherzer [[ SURE-zur ]] and Red Sox ace Chris Sale will start the Midsummer Classic for their respective leagues for the second straight year. They also started last year’s game in Miami, which the AL won 2-1 in 10 innings on a home run by Seattle’s Robinson Cano [[ kuh-NO ]]. It’s Sale’s third straight All-Star start for the AL. The NL squad features hometown star and 2018 Home Run Derby champion Bryce Harper of the Nationals. The all-time series is 43-43-and-2.
