Seventh Arrest In Makiyah Wilson Murder


Police arrested a seventh suspect in the death of Makiyah Wilson.  The 10-year-old girl shot to death while walking to an ice cream truck in Northeast D.C. this summer.  Nineteen-year-old Darrise Jeffers of Northwest D.C. is the seventh person charged with first-degree murder in the case. A woman is charged with obstructing justice.  Wilson was killed July 16 when four men jumped out of a car and opened fire on a group of people outside on a hot summer night.

Mueller To Reveal Details Of Russia Probe

(Washington, DC) — New details are expected soon in the Russian probe. Today’s the deadline for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office to explain to the court why it accused President Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, of lying to investigators and breaking his cooperation deal. The special counsel also has to provide memos to recommend a sentence for former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen. The memos are expected to give details on how Cohen has cooperated in the investigations. Last week, Cohen pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about his talks with Trump regarding a Trump Tower in Moscow.

Teen Arrested In Real Estate Murder

(Washington, DC) — A Jessup, Maryland man is facing charges in the murder of a real estate agent, who was found dead inside a model home in Hanover. Anne Arundel County police say 18-year-old Dillon Augustyniak was arrested in Baltimore in the murder of Steven Wilson of Annapolis. Wilson was found on Wednesday murdered in the model home and sales center of a development on Newmanstown Drive. Police say the motive in the case was robbery and that the two did not know each other. Augustyniak is facing first-degree murder charges.

Washington To Host Giants On Sunday

(Landover, MD) — The Giants visit the Burgundy and Gold for an NFC East showdown on Sunday in Landover. The ‘Skins have dropped three-in-a-row, and four of their last five overall to fall to third place in the NFC East at 6-and-6. Mark Sanchez will get the start under center for Washington as it looks for its first season-sweep of New York since 2011.
