Report: Trump Very Involved In Hush Money Payments

(Washington, DC) — A new report says President Trump was very involved in hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal during the presidential campaign. The Wall Street Journal report contradicts repeated denials by Trump about involvement in efforts to silence the two women. The report says Trump was involved in nearly every step of the process with his attorney Michael Cohen. Both women have alleged that they had affairs with Trump. He has denied the claims. Cohen pleaded guilty in August to federal charges of campaign finance violations, tax fraud and bank fraud.

Rick Scott Suing Elections Officials, Hearing Scheduled Today

(Tallahassee, FL) — A state court hearing is scheduled for this afternoon in response to Governor Rick Scott suing election officials in two Florida counties. He’s accusing them of refusing to release voting results. Scott filed the lawsuit in his capacity as a candidate for U.S. Senate, not as governor. But in his role of governor, Scott is also ordering a state investigation of election offices in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

Ginsburg Released From Hospital

(Washington, DC) — Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is back home. She was released from a Washington, DC hospital this morning. The 85-year old Ginsburg took a fall in her office this week and fractured three ribs. A statement from the Supreme Court says Ginsburg is doing well and will be working from home today. She has been on the high court since 1993 after being chosen by President Bill Clinton.

Washington At Buccaneers Sunday

(Tampa, FL) — The Burgundy and Gold is on the road Sunday at Tampa Bay. Washington had its three-game winning streak snapped by Atlanta this past Sunday, but still leads the NFC East at 5-and-3, a game ahead of the Eagles. The Buccaneers are 3-and-5.
