An 11-year-old is shot in the face in S.E….

DC Police are looking for the person responsible for an 11-year-old girl who was shot in the face on the 4th of July. The child was playing in an alley on 46th Place in S.E. when it happened. She was one of 8 people shot on the holiday in the District.

A former Navy Seal dies trying to help trapped Tai youth soccer players and coach…

Tragedy in Thailand, a former Navy Seal runs out of oxygen while taking supplies to the trapped youth soccer players and their coach. Officials say time is running out and that they are very concerned on how the weak boys will be able to survive the 6 hour trip underwater in narrow dark tunnels. The boys have been underground for 13 days now.

National Zoo looking at some big security changes…

The National Zoo is considering some big security changes. The National Capital Planning Commission is planning to discuss a proposal to reduce the 13 pedestrian entrances to three. They are also looking at adding perimeter fencing and security checkpoints.
