Congress averts a government shutdown…

Lawmakers in the House and Senate approved bills to fund the government until December 22nd. The extra time will give lawmakers the chance to come up with a bi partisan spending plan. President Trump is expected to sign off on it.

The search for Pamela Butler’s body begins in Stafford County…

The family of missing Federal worker Pamela Butler is hoping her body is found today. Police are about to start the search along i-66 in Stafford County for her remains. Her ex-boyfriend who made a plea deal in exchange for this information told police that he where he buried her 8 years ago. Jose Rodriquez-Cruz was given a lighter sentence of 12 years in prison for helping police.

Trump’s visit to a new civil right museum prompts some top black lawmakers to say they will not attend…

A new civil right museum in Mississipi opens to the public tomorrow. President Trump is expected to attend the 11 am ceremony. The news has prompted black Congressman John Lewis and Bernie Thompson to say if Trump is going to be there they will not.
