Congress Is Back At Work, Pepco Seeking Rate Hike In MD…

Congress is back at work today…

Congress ends their holiday recess. They have alot on their to do list including approving a spending plan to avoid a January 19th partial government shutdown. Immigration and infrastructure policies are also on the list. Two Democrats will also
be sworn into office today.

Pepco is seeking a rate hike in Maryland…

A month after requesting a rake hike for customers in the District of Columbia, Pepco is now setting its site on customers in Prince George’s County. The utility company wants $41.4 Million for grid improvements made last year. If approved it would cost customers about $5.14 a month.

Police search for man in a van who tried to use candy to lure a little girl to go with him…

Police in Takoma Park are releasing more details about one of two suspects who tried to abduct an 8 year old girl this week. It happened yesterday as she waited for
a ride to school at the intersection of Elm and Pine Avenues. Detectives say the suspect who was in a van with DC tags had a nose ring, a flower tattoo on his left hand and a pink pimple near his left eye. The child ran away and was unharmed.
