DC Police investigate two separate fatal shootings…

Homicide Detectives in the District are working two more news cases. First police were called to Maryland Avenue in N.E.. A short time later following a double shooting on 19th Street in S.E. one person was found shot to death. No arrests have been made. There’s no word on the victim’s identities.

Metro leaders and Union reps moving in the right direction to avert a strike…

Key Metro leaders and members from the union plan to meet today to work out the final details of efforts to avert a walkout. Yesterday they met for the four-time since members approved a strike this month. Both sides say progress is being made but there are a few more issues that still need to be addressed.

Jury selection in Manafort case begins…

In Alexandria, Virginia jury selection begins in the Federal Tax evasion and bank fraud trial of Paul Manafort. The former Trump campaign chief and longtime personal lawyer if convicted could spend the rest of his life in prison. Robert Mueller is prosecuting him but this trail has nothing to do with the Special counsel’s probe into the 2016 Russian meddling probe.
