DC Police release safety plan for this weekend…

At Noon DC Police Chief Peter Newsham and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser are set to hold a Noon time press conference to give the public the most up to date information on safety measure for the weekend.

Earlier Police Chief Newsham stated no special services will be provided to any group. Newsham said officers will make sure that the two side are kept apart. He has vowed that what happened in Charlottesville last year will not happen in the Nations Capitol this year.

It is estimated that counter protestors will outnumber rally goers 6 to 1. At last check Unite the Right rally goers were planning on taking Metro to Lafayette Square.

NPS approves one permit for this weekends rally’s…

The National Park Service has confirmed that one person for rally’s this weekend has been approved. The first one so far is for the counter protest group named “DC United Against Hate”. They are expected to march from Freedom Plaza to Lafayette Square. NPS officials say they are in the process of approving three more permits. Those permits are for counter protest groups as well.

The organizer of the Unite the Right Rally Jason Kessler is awaiting his permit. His request to hold the rally on Sunday at Lafayette Square marks the 1st anniversary of the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville.

The Governor of Virginia Ralph Northam and the city of Charlottesville have both issued states of emergencies ahead of the 1st Anniversary of rally. Officials in Charlottesville denied organizers from holding the event there again this year. Virginia police are working closing with Metropolitan Police and the FBI.

Prince George’s County Police believe they know who shot and killed a promising and gifted athlete from Montgomery Blair High School this week. Arrest warrants have been issued for 22 year old Tyrell McArthur and 22 year old Rayshawn Williams. Detectives believe Williams may be injured and he may have sought out medical attention for his injury.

Wilson was found shot multiple times behind a building in the 6700 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Hyattsville Monday night. He was rushed to a near by hospital were he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are following several leads in this case to seek out a third possible suspect that may also be involved.
