Educators Rally For Change At PGCPS

Educators in Prince George’s County are pushing for change. Dozens gathered in Annapolis last night to call for an overhaul to the school system’s board structure. The calls follow an October audit that revealed some staff members did not comply with district grading and graduation procedures. The county education association is calling on Maryland lawmakers to implement a fully elected school board.

Hope Hicks Refuses To Answer Some Questions On Capitol Hill

White House Communications Director Hope Hicks is refusing to answer some questions on Capitol Hill. The longtime Trump aide appeared before the House Intelligence Committee today as it investigates Russian meddling in the 2016 election. There are reports that Hicks declined to answer questions related to her time in the White House, or the time leading up to it after the election. Several Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee told reporters that Hicks was following White House orders not to answer certain questions, but stopped short of asserting executive privilege.

GS Warriors Take Kids To Museum, Instead Of The White House

The NBA champion Golden State Warriors are in Washington, DC today, but they’re not headed to the White House. Instead, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and other members of the team are taking a group of school kids to the National Museum of African American History and Culture on the National Mall. The team was originally scheduled to visit with President Trump after winning a championship, as is customary. After some Twitter back-and-forths last year, the president uninvited the team. Tomorrow night, the Warriors will take on the Wizards at Capitol One arena.
