Fairfax leaders approve high school name change…

The Fairfax County School Board has voted to change the name of J.E.B. Stuart High School to “Justice”. Residents were upset over the school being named after a Confederate General. The name change will be seen in the fall of 2019.

An 8 foot high Bronze statue of the man known lovely as DC’s Mayor for life, former Mayor Marion Barry is closer to reality. The DC Commission on Arts and the Humanities say it will be complete by March. It is expected to be placed outside of the John A. Wilson Building.
