Kaepernick Nike Ad airing tonight during first NFL game of season

Tonight, the Nike ad featuring Colin Kaepernick will air during the NFL season opener between the Eagles and Falcons. Nike says the ad, which is part of its 30th anniversary “just do it” campaign, will also run this week during the U.S. Open, and Major League baseball and college football games. Colin Kaepernick created controversy when he began kneeling during the national anthem before NFL games to protest racial injustice.

Man accused of killing Howard County teacher dies

The man accused of killing a pregnant Howard county teacher has killed himself, according to authorities, a day before he was set to go to trial.
In an apparent suicide, Tyler Tessier was found dead this morning inside his cell at the Montgomery County Correctional facility in Rockville.
Tessier was accused of fatally shooting 31-year-old Laura Wallen in September of 2017. Wallen was Tessier’s girlfriend.

Three killed in mass shooting in Cincinnati

A mass shooter opened fire at a downtown Cincinnati bank, killing three people. At least two others were injured.  The suspect  is dead. Police did exchange gunfire, but it’s unclear how the suspect died.
