House Business Suspended As Dems Stage Sit-In Over Guns

The U.S. House is in recess after Democrats staged a sit-in over guns. They are protesting the lack of action on gun bills. Democrats want a quick vote on legislation to prevent people on the federal terror watch list from being able to buy guns. Democrats have raised the volume on gun control since the deadly mass shooting in Orlando. Forty-nine people were killed and another 53 were injured when a gunman opened fire in a gay nightclub. The shooter was subsequently killed by police.

Trump Calls Clinton Corrupt

Donald Trump says Democratic rival Hillary Clinton is “a world class liar” and must not be allowed to be president. Speaking in New York today, accused Clinton of presiding over a disastrous foreign policy when she was secretary of state. Trump argued that no secretary of state has been more wrong, more often and in more places than Hillary Clinton. The real estate mogul also slammed Clinton’s email scandal and called it the “latest Clinton cover-up.” Trump said she needs to go to prison.

Five Injured In SE Washington Fire

Three adults and two children are in the hospital after a fire in Southeast Washington. Officials say the fire broke out this morning on the second floor of an apartment building in the 29-hundred block of 2nd Street, SE. A mother and her two children were evacuated by firefighters while a teenager jumped from a third-floor window. A firefighter sustained burn injuries. All five were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Malware Found On Annapolis Parking Garage Servers

Annapolis officials say malware found on three parking garage servers could have compromised credit and debit card information. The breach was discovered on servers for the Noah Hillman, Gott’s Court and Knighton Garages and anyone using the facilities between December 23rd and June 11th may be affected. The parking management company says after the malware was found, the garages then went to a cash-only mode. At this time, officials do not believe the breach affected monthly parking or residential permit holders.
