Prince George’s County Council Member Obie Patterson is set to hold a 9:30 Press Conference this morning to call on leaders to open the nearly completed District 7 Police Station next month as planned. County Executive Rushern Bakers say the multimillion dollar site will have to sit vacant for about a year, because the county council did not approve his budget to staff it.

Prince George’s County Fire Department receives millions to hire 24 new fire fighters…

The Prince George’s County Fire Department will receive over $3.6 Million Dollars in federal funds to train and hire 24 new fire fighters. The money will cover the cost to do so for the next two years, afterwards the county will have to take over the cost.
