A Police Union is asking for the reinstatement of the Vice Squad…

The police union is calling on the District Police Department to return 100 officers to the 7th Police Districts Vice Squad to help curb the violence plaguing the city. Chief Lanier has not responded to the union but she and Mayor Bowser have decided to increase the amount of the reward for tips for an illegal gun to $2,500 and $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in a murder.

9 arrested in St. Louis following another police shooting of a 18 year of A.A. male…

Violence erupted in St. Louis again last night, this after police shot and killed a 18 year old who they say was pointing a gun at them as they tried to serve a search warrant at his home. Protestors took to the streets afterwards and torched a home, burned an American flag and threw rocks and bottles at police. 9 demonstrators were arrested as a result.

There’s a big sign that Md Congressman Elisah Cummings may run for the Senate …

It appears that Congressman Elisah Cummings is seriously looking at a Senate run to fill the seat of outgoing Barbara Mulkulski. “The Washington Post” is reporting he has hired a well known veteran Senate fundraiser. An event is planned for next month during the Nats and Orioles game.
