It’s Election Day in Md & Va…

It’s an off season General Election today. The polls will stay open until 7 pm in Virginia and 8 pm in Maryland. In the Commonwealth control of the Senate is at stake as well as gun rights and higher tolls on I-66. In Maryland their are mayoral races in Bowie, College Park, Laurel and Rockville. There are a few county council races as well. There are no contested races in the District of Columbia.

It’s back to the drawing board for Metro’s Board of Directors.

Metro’s top choice as General Manager Neal Cohen has decided not to continue with contract talks. No specific reason was given. It’s embarrassing news for the already troubled transit agency.

DC Detectives have a mystery on their hands. The body of a young couple were discovered yesterday in a home on Tennessee Avenue in N.E. and police are calling it suspicious.

It’s sentencing time for convicted serial killer Charles Severance…

Convicted triple murder Charles Severance is waiting to be sentenced. The jury in his case has recommended 3 consecutive life sentences for the murder of 3 prominent residents.
