“Winter Weather Advisory” issued for our listening area…

We remain under a “Winter Weather Advisory” here in the Metropolitan area until tomorrow morning. Now if you live in Southern Maryland, you have been upgraded to a “Winter Storm Warning”. We will have confirmed reports of up to 6 inches of snow already in St. Mary’s County. Road crews are trying to treat and plow the roads, you should stay off the roads this morning if possible.

Metro Bus and Trains are running…

It’s a Federal Holiday and that mean’s the Federal Government is closed along with schools and area Post Offices. Metro is running. Buses are on a severe weather plan and metro trains are on a Saturday schedule. It is free to park at area Metro lots.

The President will announce a replacement for Justice Scalia…

The body of U.S. Supreme Court Judge Antonin Scalia has arrived in Virginia. It’s unclear if there will be a public viewing. Meanwhile, President Barack Obama says he will make a nomination to replace him, once the Senate resumes its session.
