A female listed in critical condition after hit and run in Ft. Washington…

The female victim in this mornings hit and run along 210 and Palmer Road in Ft Washington remains in critical condition. There’s no word on the vehicle involved. Traffic just reopened on northbound 210.

Head Start will start on time in Prince George’s County…

School Officials in P.G. Co says the county’s Head Start program will begin on Aug. 29th as planned. This despite the county loosing $6.4 (M) in federal grant money because of reports of teachers using corporal punishment. The county has 30 days to appeal the decision.

New report shows a growing need for minority teachers, could help approve achievement gap…

A new study by the Brookings Institution has found a growing disparity of minorities teachers in schools all across the country. The long term outcome is grim as fewer A.A. or Hispanics are choosing the career path. There’s research that shows in school systems where minority children are being taught by minority teachers test scores increase and their few disciplinary issues.
