A bomb threat closes a local school this morning…

Students at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Fairfax County Virginia had an unexpected day off today. Overnight police say a bomb threat was emailed to them named the schools. A through sweep of the school this morning did not turn up anything. The search is now on for the person who made the serious threat.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is the first candidate to announce he’s running for President in 2016…

Conservative Republican, Texan Senator Ted Cruz announced in person this morning that he was going to run for President in 2016. This morning announcement at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia followed his tweet overnight announcing his candidacy. He’s the first person to enter the race.

A Prince George’s County woman is behind bars for stabbing her mother to death…

Police have arrested 60 year old Michelle Davis and charged her with first and second degree murder for the death of her 94 year old mother Margaret Wells. The incident happened inside Wells Chillum home. Wells reportedly has a history of mental illness.
