Police investigating report of a shot fired this at Walter Reed Medical Center…

Right now in Bethesda, Police and federal agents are responding to a report of a shot heard at the Walter Reed Medical Center. Official say they have not confirmed any incident, as a precaution staff and visitors are being asked to shelter in place. The focus at this points seems to be on building 1 or what many call the “Tower”. Traffic North and South on Rockville Pike has been shut down in front of Walter Reed Medical Center.

Prince George’s County homeowner shoots and kills an intruder…

Prince George’s County Police are investigation a fatal home invasion this morning in Upper Marlboro inside of a gated community. It appears the unidentified homeowner shot and killed the intruder who was trying to break into the home in the 6100 block of Blue Sage Lane. Police have not released the name of the victim.

DC police arrest suspect wanted in the fatal 4th of July stabbing at NoMa-Gallaudet Station…

Earlier this morning police arrested 18 year old Jasper Spires in the 4th of July stabbing death of a 24 year Kevin Sutherland.  The incident happened on the read line on Saturday at NoMa-Gallaudet Metro Station during an apparent robbery.

Officials in Alexandria, Va hold a community meeting tonight about the cities first homicide of the year…

Alexandria’s first homicide of the year last week has prompted police and local officials to hold a community meeting about the death of 22 year old Shakkan Elliott-Tibbs. Tonight’s 7 pm public meeting will take place at Charles Houston Recreation Center.
