There’s an ongoing search for a suspect who injured a police officer during traffic stop in District Heights…

There is an ongoing search for the suspect who drove off during a traffic stop, catching the police officers arm in the door and throwing him to the ground. The driver crashed a few feet away and fled on foot. The officer was injured but not seriously during the incident on Alberta and Todd Drives in District Heights.

The driver who hit and killed a woman on Suitland Parkway makes his first court appearance…

The S.E. DC man charged with the DUI hit and run death of a woman on Suitland Parkway earlier this week is due for his first court appearance today. 52 year old Robert Paris who has two other DUI charges in the last 5 years, is accused in the death of 32 year old Tomika Early. She was hit as she watched her boyfriend change her flat tire.

A trial date is set for the S.C. black church shooter …

A court date has been set for the self proclaimed white supremacist accused of shooting and killing 9 people at a historically black church in Charleston, South Carolina last month.   The trial date for 21 year old Dylann Roof will July 11, 2016.

President Obama’s prison visit makes history…

President Obama is set to make history yet again. Today he will become the first sitting President to visit a federal prison. White House Spokesman Josh Earnst says while at El Reno Federal Correction Facility the President will again talk about the need for the country’s criminal justice system to be reformed.
