The Nations Capitol honor’s our fallen hero’s on Veteran’s Day…

It is Veteran’s Day and there are numerous events taking place nationally and locally to honor the men and women who have given up their lives to serve in our military and to protect the freedoms that we all enjoy every day. Right now, President Barack Obama is taking part in a special wreath laying ceremony at The Tomb of the Unknown at Arlington National Cemetery. Other services are planned at the WWII, Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Women Military Service for American Memorial today.

No response from Mayor’s Office following the break of a PAC supporting her…

There has been no response from the Mayor’s Office regarding the break up of a PAC that was supporting her. The group that went by the name Fresh Pac decided overnight to disband following public criticism over the large amount of money raised from business owners with ties to government contracts, some very large ones. There’s even concern over Mayor Bowers change of heart to support the Pepco merger. The Mayor is in China with two of her PAC’s largest donors.

A suspect is arrested in Mizzou campus threat…

Mizzou Campus Police have not released the name of the suspect taken into custody
following on line threats made towards black students at the university. Officials say the person was not near the campus when the threats of violence were made.

Dozens of families await word on the safety of a Lanham apartment complex that shifted over the weekend…

Structural Engineers will be back out at the Carleton East Apartments in Lanham today, to assess if its safe for dozen of displaced families to return home. Two buildings at the complex shifted creating cracks in the walls and ceilings of 22 homes, some large enough that you could see outside from inside of the apartment.
