DC Mayor Bowser set to announce the closure of the DC General Homeless Shelter…

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser is set to announce today the official closure of the DC General Homeless Shelter. The Mayor’s plan calls for families to be moved into short term housing sites across the city. There will be one in each ward. Today the Mayor will submit her list of locations to the city council. This Thursday at 6:30 there will be a community meeting in each ward to discuss the temporary shelter sites.

Staying in DC, at Noon results from the Healthy Act of 2010 will be released. The goal of the bill is to decrease the obesity rate among public and charter schools students in the city by increasing access to healthy food and physical activity during the school day.

Volunteer teacher’s aide charged with multiple counts of producing child pornography with under age students…

A former Prince George’s County Volunteer teachers aid remains in jail on a $1 (m) bond after being charged with several counts of producing child pornography. Deonte Carraway worked a Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary and as the director of the Glenarden Voices of Youth Choir. 10 student victims have been indentified. The arrest follows images posted on the kids app KiK.

It’s primary day in New Hampshire…

It’s primary day in New Hampshire and Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have big leads in polls. The CNN/WMUR tracking polls shows Trump has a 17 point lead over the next closest republican candidate. Sanders leads Clinton by 26 points. The polls close tonight at 8.
