The Fed file criminal charges against another former high ranking DC official…

Just moments ago the Federal Government announced that they have filed tax evasion charges against former high ranking DC Official Warren Graves. Graves is accused of under reporting his income in 2010 by over 200 -thousand dollars. He faces up to 3 years in prison if convicted.

DC is prepared for this weekends activities and celebrations…

The FBI says there are no credible threats against our country for the big 4th of July holiday. At 2:30 DC Mayor Bowser and Chief Lanier will hold a press conference on the city’s preparedness. Earlier U.S. Park Police Lt. Jim Murphy urged residents & visitors to stay alert. Metro by the way will operate on a rush hour schedule on the Red, Yellow and Green lines on Monday before and after the fireworks.

A big cost savings for those who enter the wrong metro station…

Starting today if you enter any Metro station you leave out within 15 minutes you will not be charged. In the past their use to be a minimum charge of $1.75 for same station exits.

Attorney General Lynch will not be leading the Clinton email probe…

Right now, Attorney General Lorretta Lynch is holding a press conference regarding her decision separate herself from the email server investigation into Hillary Clinton. Today’s press conference follows days of controversy sparked by her meeting on a plane last month with Bill Clinton.

Pepco requests a big rate increase….

Pepco has filed for a rate increase with the DC Public Service Commission. The reported $85 million dollar rate hike is to recover the costs of upgrades to make the system more reliable. If approved it wouldn’t kick in until next summer and it would increase the average user bill by $4.36 a month.
