A noose is found hanging from a tree at Duke University…

Officials at Duke University confirm that they are looking into a noose found hanging from a tree on campus. Pictures of it were posted on social media, they were removed around 3 this morning. School officials call the act “hateful and stupid” and they vow to hold those responsible accountable.

The assault trial of a former school principal in Prince George’s County enters day two…

It’s day two of the trial involving a former school principle charged with assaulting a student. Dwight Jefferson is accused of hitting a student several time last September as he questioned why he was late to class. The incident happened at Dwight Eisenhower Middle School.

DC Mayor delivers some big promises during her State of The District Address…

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser delivered some big promises during the State of the District Address last night. She began by saying the District is strong and growing but there are things that still need to be address, including a $200 Million dollar budget shortfall. Bowser also vowed to finish the streetcar project, put body cams on police and allow District students to ride metro for free.
