Jury selection begins in the Unite the Right rally…

Today jury selection begins today in Charlottesville, Virginia in the Unite The Right Rally death. 21-year-old James Fields Junior is charged with the murder of 33-year-old Heather Heyer.

Fields is accused of driving his car into a group of counterprotesters on August 12, 2017. Sources say they expect the trial to last for about three weeks. The trial is taking place in Charlottesville.

Four Damascus JV students charged with rape due in court…

At 1 O’clock today, four fifteen-year-old boys from Damascus High School’s JV football team are due in court. The boys who are charged with raping four other teammates are due for a bond hearing.

The teens have been identified as Jean Claude Abedi, Kristian Jamal Lee, Will Daniel Smith, Caleb Thorpe. They face first-degree rape in the alleged Halloween locker room attack. Another student remains charged as a juvenile in the case.
