More Kids Start The Fall Semester Today

It’s back to school for more kids this morning…

Thousands of students in DC & Anne Arundel & Frederick Counties start the fall semester this morning. In the District, 150 males will start their freshman year at the new Ron Brown College Preparatory H.S. A grade will be added each year until they get up to 12th grade. In NW the McFarland Middle School is new for kids there.

Police search for suspect who robbed & shot & killed a 7-11 clerk in Clinton…

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person in a video surveillance photo they have released to the public. The person in the video is wanted for Saturday’s fatal shooting and robbery of a 7-11 store clerk in Clinton. Investigators believe he then robbed a near by hotel a few minutes later. A $25,000 rewards is being offered in this case.

President Obama heads to Louisiana….

President Barack Obama and his family are back from their vacation in Martha’s Vineyard. The White House says tomorrow he will head out to flood ravaged Baton Rouge, Louisiana to assess the damage for himself. Some had criticized the President for not cutting off his family trip sooner to visit the area. GOP Presidential Nominee and his running mate visited the area on Friday. Clinton is expected to make a visit as well.
