Person stabbed at Navy Yard Metro

Police are searching for a man who stabbed a victim in the neck near the Navy Yard Metro station Friday afternoon. The victim is said to be in critical condition. Police say the victim and suspect know each other. Metro Transit Police say they’re searching for a man with red hair who they believe may have cut himself during the incident. Police have released a picture of the suspect.

Local man leaps to his death

A former DeMatha High School student and Washington, DC native jumped to his death from a 16 story building at Duquesne University on Thursday. Marquis “Jaylen” Brown was a sophomore running back on the Duquesne football team. He had also played football at DeMatha. Officials are calling the incident a suicide. No word on why Brown took his life.


Domestic dispute the cause for apartment complex fire

Police say a woman accused of starting a massive fire at a local apartment complex last month did so because she was angry with her boyfriend. Natasha Ciara Joyner is charged with arson. The fire at the Hilltop Apartments in New Carollton displaced 130 people and caused more than two-million dollars in damages.
