R. Kelly Cancels Shows Following Cult Allegations

After many allegations claiming R. Kelly is holding women in a sexual cult, he has decided to cancel multiple tour dates due to low tickets sales.

According to Huffington Post, Kelly has cancelled two shows in Louisiana one in Texas and another in Los Angeles.

Last month, a Buzzfeed article surfaced investigating into the allegations of Kelly running a cult which prohibited women from contacting their families.

Kelly’s team immediately denied these allegations saying they were “alarmed and disturbed.”

“[Kelly] will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name,” his team stated.

According to TMZ, Kelly’s first show in Virginia Beach had sparse attendance. Many reviews on Ticketmaster were negative, saying R. Kelly showed up late and failed to perform longer than an hour.

As of now, Kelly himself has yet to confirm cancellations on his personal website or Twitter. A video of him was posted July 27th where he denounced allegations and said he would continue his tour in the East Coast.
