The nation reflects on the 50th Anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today. All across the country and here in the District there will be celebrations, faith services and rally’s to remember the life of the civil rights leader who was shot while in Memphis, Tennessee for the black sanitary worker’s strike. At 3:30 on the National Mall faith leaders will hold a “Rally to End Racism”.

A Guilty verdict handed down for the man who killed ex and his 2-year daughter over child support …

A Prince George’s County jury has found Daron Boswell Johnson guilty of killing his ex-girlfriend and their 2-year-old daughter in 2016. Boswell Johnson admitted to police that he was upset over being ordered to pay $600 for his little girl. Johnson was married at the time to another woman.

190 years in prison for the former teacher’s aide who sexually abused dozens of boys…

The former Charles County teacher’s aide found guilty of sexually abusing 42 young boys has been given 190 years in prison on state charges. This adds to Carlos Bell’s 105-year prison sentence given in federal court. Thankfully thus far none of his victims have tested positive for HIV which Bell has admitted that he has.
