Starbucks Duo Speak Out, FAA Inspections, I-66 Fatality

Robinson and Nelson feared for their lives

The two black men arrested and accused of trespassing at a Philadelphia Starbucks are now speaking out.  Donte Robinson says he thought about his loved ones and wondered if he would make it home alive after being jailed.  “You never know what’s going to happen,” he said.  He and Rashon Nelson say they were simply waiting to hold a business meeting when the Starbucks manager called police because the two men would not make a purchase.  The men were later released, with no charges filed.  The Starbucks manager was fired.  Robinson says he appreciates the public support, but boycotting Starbucks is not the solution adding,”Not words, but a seat at the table,” is needed.
