Threats Made Toward High School In Prince George’s

Students and parents can expect to see increased police presence at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt today following some threats that were made toward the school. The principal released a statement last night, saying they were notified of a potential threat that was circulating among some of the students. There is no information on the nature of the threat or how specific it was. Prince George’s County police are investigating.

Reports Of Hate/Bias Incidents Are Up In Maryland

Reports of hate and bias incidents are up in Maryland. On Friday, the state revealed its annual report which found that these particular incidents are up 40-percent. The report covers criminal offenses committed against people based on race, religion, disability, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Baltimore and Montgomery counties had the most hate and bias complaints with 73 reports each. But, counties like Anne Arundel, Harford, Howard and Prince George’s also had complaint numbers in the double-digits.

Trump Pushes Back Against Military Widow’s Account Of Condolence Call

President Trump is disputing a widow’s account of a condolence call he made to her after her husband was killed in Niger. After Myeshia Johnson talked about her disappointment with the call on ABC’s “Good Morning America” this morning, Trump took to Twitter to defend himself. He said he had a “very respectful conversation with the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, and spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation!” Johnson said this morning that Trump had trouble remembering her husband’s name. She also confirmed that Trump said her husband “Knew what he signed up for.” She said the call left her in tears.

Washington Faces Eagles In NFC East Clash On “MNF”

The burgundy and gold are looking for some pay back against the Eagles on “Monday Night Football.” Tonight’s game will be the second meeting of the season between the teams, with the Eagles winning the first one. Philadelphia has won four in-a-row and leads the division at 5-and-1. Washington beat the 49ers in Week Six and have won three-of-four games since that Week One loss to Philly.
