Three People In Custody Following Shooting At NSA

Three people are in federal custody following a shooting outside the National Security Agency headquarters in Maryland. FBI Special Agent Gordon Johnson tells reporters it appears security personnel opened fire this morning on an unauthorized vehicle at a main gate to the campus. The timeline of events is still being investigated. No one was shot, but a man inside the vehicle was hurt. An NSA police officer and a civilian were also hurt and are being treated. A total of three people were inside the car and are being questioned in the incident. Johnson says there is no reason to believe the incident was terrorism-related.

VP: WH Could Have Handled Porter Situation Better

Vice President Mike Pence admits the White House could’ve handled the Rob Porter situation better. Speaking at a press event in DC today, Pence added the Trump administration has “no tolerance for domestic violence.” Porter resigned last week over allegations of domestic abuse from two former wives. He had been working for more than a year with an interim security clearance. Pence went on to give his support for White House Chief of Staff John Kelly. Kelly is thought to be on a very hot seat over his handling of Porter.

Trump’s Lawyer Says He Paid Porn Actress

President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer paid a porn star 130-thousand dollars of his own money. Michael Cohen said in a statement that he made the payment to actress Stephanie Clifford, known by her stage name of Stormy Daniels. Cohen said he was not reimbursed by the Trump organization or Trump campaign. He says the payment to Ms. Clifford was legal and not a campaign contribution or expenditure. He did not elaborate on why he made the payment. Cohen said he had given a similar statement to the Federal Election Commission.

Pitchers And Catchers Report For Spring Training

The Orioles and Nationals are opening spring training in Florida. Pitchers and catchers for the O’s got to camp yesterday with the first workout set for today. Nats’ pitchers and catchers get to camp today with a workout scheduled for tomorrow. The first full-squad workout for Baltimore is on Monday and on the 21st for Washington. Grapefruit League play opens on February 23rd, the Orioles take on the Rays while the Nationals battle the Astros.
